Performance, recognition and an unexpected a cappella moment

During the evening, Aremuorin performed My Baby Just Cares for Me. Then, while receiving the award, he shared an intimate a cappella rendition of his original song Grandmother’s Prayers.

Stripped of accompaniment, the song became simply voice, memory and prayer — reflecting the faith, ancestry and lived experience that continue to inform Aremuorin’s work as a singer-songwriter, pianist, producer and creative entrepreneur.

Sometimes the most powerful moments need nothing more than a voice, a memory and the prayers that helped carry us here.

An artist journey built around purpose

The recognition sits within Aremuorin™’s wider creative and humanitarian practice. Alongside an award-winning body of music spanning soul, jazz, gospel and inspirational work, his peace-ambassadorial work through the Universal Peace Federation connects creativity with dialogue, dignity and service.

For Aremuorin™, an award is not simply a destination. Recognition creates visibility, and visibility creates an opportunity to direct attention toward something larger: music that carries meaning, human connection and work that can positively affect the lives of others.
