“Sometimes, it takes a storm to awaken the soul. This morning, I sat still—and remembered me. Now, I am no Olympian Athlete, but a seasoned Olympian Creative.

That’s when I remembered me: not the me they wanted, nor the me I performed—but the raw, untamed, sacred me. The one who creates from chaos, paints from pain, and sings the silence into symphony.”

– Aremuorin

That’s When I Remembered Me

by Aremuorin

I sat down for a minute—

just a moment—

to rest my bones,

to chill,

to live,

to watch life go by.

And the floods came.

The standard was lifted.

It started raining—

then storms,

then clouds,

then hail the size of rocks

poured down on me.

And I said to myself,

How did I get here?

That’s when I pinched myself.

That’s when I remembered me.

That’s when I remembered me.

That’s when I—

remembered

me.
