For many years, I carried music in my heart but wrestled with doubt in my spirit. I was asked decades ago to step into gospel music, yet I felt unworthy — questioning whether my voice, my writing, or my story had a place in sacred spaces. I told myself no one would listen. I told myself I wasn’t ready. I told myself it was for “other people.”

I was wrong. 14 tracks later – exploring Jazz, Soul, Gospel , Dance & Disco.

Hey Lord is not just a song — it is a surrender. It’s the sound of a heart finally saying, “Here I am.” It reflects the honesty of faith: not polished, not perfect, but real. It speaks from a place of humility, gratitude, and quiet dependence on grace.

This song — and the journey behind it — reminded me that it’s never too late to begin again. The Great One does not call the qualified; He qualifies the willing. We are all spirit, given free will, and each of us must choose how we respond when purpose comes knocking.

Creating Hey Lord was an act of obedience more than ambition. It was about trusting that if God placed a song in my spirit, He would also prepare the ears meant to hear it. I now understand that faith isn’t about feeling worthy — it’s about showing up anyway.

I am deeply grateful to everyone who supported, encouraged, prayed, listened, and believed — sometimes even before I did. This release is not the end of a journey, but the beginning of one rooted in truth, worship, and purpose.

If Hey Lord reaches even one heart — if it reminds someone that they are seen, heard, and never too far gone — then it has already done what it was sent to do.

Grace found me here. And I’m thankful.
