By Aremuorin™
I wrote this song for a Japanese girl group…
and somehow, a decade later, I found myself performing it.
No rehearsal. No grand intention.
Just a moment — raw, unfiltered, and real.
It made me reflect on something deeper:
Songs don’t always go where you send them.
Sometimes, they come back to you — when you’re ready.
As a songwriter, you create with purpose — sometimes for others, sometimes for a moment that hasn’t arrived yet.
And then, one day, without warning… it does.
This wasn’t about perfection.
It wasn’t even about performance.
It was about alignment.
Revisiting something I once wrote from a distance…
and realising it still had something to say — this time, through me.
Perhaps that’s what growth really looks like:
- Returning to what you created
- Hearing it differently
- And choosing to honour it anyway
This is Have You Thought About It?
