“Tear jacker. That vow. Meaow !!! May love like this find me every day till I die.”
There are moments that stop you mid-scroll.
Love has no gender, no colour, no creed.
It doesn’t ask for permission. It just loves – fully, freely, and without condition. And it made me think…
We’ve been told what love should look like for so long. But when you finally see it—you just know. If it’s not this… it’s not love. Not because they are loud, but because they are true.
The Problem: We’ve Weaponized Love
We haven’t just weaponized scripture. We’ve redefined love into something transactional, conditional, and performative.
What Science Says Love Actually Is
Psychologist Erich Fromm described love as a practice rooted in discipline and respect. Research consistently shows healthy love is built on emotional safety, consistency, and mutual growth.
“Love is a combination of care, commitment, knowledge, responsibility, respect, and trust.” — bell hooks
If It’s Not This, It’s Not Love
If your version of love requires control, fear, or erasure of identity – it isn’t love.
What Love Should Be
- Being chosen without being changed
- Being seen without being reduced
- Being held without being owned
Final Thought
The world doesn’t need more arguments about love. It needs more examples of it.
May love like that find you. Every day you have breath.
