Some occasions are about the award itself. Others are about the people, the energy, the laughter and the reminder that creative work can bring us together. The 23rd BBI Achievement Recognition Awards 2026 gave me all of that — and a little Nollywood magic along the way.
I’m delighted and grateful to have been awarded BBI Awards 2026 Performing and Creative Artist of the Year, recognising excellence in arts, culture, leadership, diversity and inclusion. My sincere thanks to BBI Biz Initiative for this honour. It means a great deal to have creative work and contributions in these spaces acknowledged.
A little award-night sparkle — and a mini Nollywood set
And to Hilton London Tower Bridge: thank you for hosting us so beautifully. We may have turned parts of your hotel into our own mini Nollywood movie set! Haha. Thank you for bearing with our enthusiasm and helping make the evening such a memorable one.
Recognition is better when we celebrate one another
Congratulations to all the winners and finalists. Every person who showed up with their talent, ideas, commitment and story contributed something to the occasion. For me, there are no losers here. Recognition can take many forms, and every journey has value.
I’m leaving the celebration feeling grateful, encouraged and, yes, absolutely brilliantastic. Here’s to creativity with purpose, leadership that makes room for others, and a future where diversity and inclusion are more than words — they are reflected in the opportunities we create and the people we celebrate.

Thank you, BBI Biz Initiative, Hilton London Tower Bridge, and everyone who shared in the moment. Onwards — with gratitude, good humour and a little more brilliance.
