As a young performer my modality for greatness were the greats like Aretha, Whitney, Andrea Bocelli & Pavarrotti. I always want to improve, no matter what.

I have also learned to not underestimate any performance moment. Even at Karaokee, or with friends. Magic could happen anywhere.

I can’t stand mediocrity. Despite my health challenges; I will try my best. Despite bad sound, poor engineering, poor sound check and levels. Despite the ignorance of humans, I will still push beyond my pain.

So, if you are an artiste, quit day dreaming and do the hard work. Bad managers blowing smoke up your behind when you have no substance will get you no where creatively.

An old friend of mine, a very seasoned sensational, award winning, westend musical theatre vocalist, who reprised the roles of Ella Fitzgerald and sorts; told me a long time ago: that her singing teacher always said to her –

“Do the work first and take the bow’s later”.

Those are my pennies I have to lend you ..’
