For those who married their narc, how did the wedding day go?

Answer:

No ceremony. No friends.

We signed the marriage license in his kitchen. And then went to dinner, and he expected me to pay for it.

As I paid the tab, I suddenly felt sick to my stomach.

The next day he wanted to “blend our bank accounts,” and he put me on a budget with my own money.

And he spent all he wanted on himself. — (And expected me to pay for everything.)

I paid all the bills after that. — (Well, he went to the grocery store some. But that was pretty much it.)

I worked two full time jobs while he stayed home. — (He worked one day a week while exwife #1 paid him $6,000/month in alimony …

… which he had to be just pocketing since I paid for most everything.)

I was homecoming queen and Miss Northern Colorado. — 3 college degrees and 2 graduate degrees. And he was a short, balding, pathetic little man who threw violent tantrums like a 2-year old.

This left me cold ..’ Cindy, you are far from ugly, but he saw you coming. You are brave to share your story publicly. I hope you are healing. Thank God for your testimony. It will save legions from a repeat hopefully. Those were major red flags.
