Faithful are the wounds of a friend, but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.” Proverbs 27:6 (KJV)

I was listening to Bishop TD Jakes yesterday and he sighted the opening verse. It resonated personally with the indescribable betrayal of a group of people I once knew whom I had given everything I had to, out of love recently – yet were disgruntled proceeding to betray me.

The kiss from Judas is often the most used as an example of great deception. It struck a chord with me. The most disgusting thing a friend could do was what Judas did to his beloved friend.
It is mine to avenge; I will repay. In due time their foot will slip; their day of disaster is near and their doom rushes upon them.”
Deut 32 – 35

Romans 12:17-19 the apostle Paul tells us,
“Repay no one evil for evil. Commend what is honest in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as it depends on you, live peaceably with all men. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to God’s wrath, for it is written: ‘Vengeance is Mine. I will repay,’ says the Lord.” (MEV)

Things God Will Avenge
To encourage you to put your trust in God and strive to be Christ-like in heart and mind, know that God sees these wrong doings and will avenge those who are victims.

- Injustice
“Can unjust leaders claim that God is on their side— leaders whose decrees permit injustice? They gang up against the righteous and condemn the innocent to death. But the Lord is my fortress; my God is the mighty rock where I hide. God will turn the sins of evil people back on them. He will destroy them for their sins. The Lord our God will destroy them.”
(Psalm 94:20-23 NLT)
Scary but it’s true. God does not like injustice and will fight against it.
