Life Without Black People

Thank you my friend ‘Angela’ for sending me this story. I must share.

Slavery is not about 400 years ago but the effects today suppressing the black race. So we can’t get over it ..’

 – Aremuorin

A very humorous and revealing story is told about a group of white people who were fed up with African Americans, so they joined together and wished themselves away.

They passed through a deep dark tunnel and emerged in sort of a twilight zone where there is an America without black people. At first these white people breathed a sigh of relief.

‘At last’, they said, ‘no more crime, drugs, violence and welfare.’
All of the blacks have gone! Then suddenly, reality set in. The ‘NEW AMERICA’ is not America at all – only a barren land.

1. There are very few crops that have flourished because the nation was built on a slave-supported system.

Mariah Carey

2. There are no cities with tall skyscrapers because Alexander Mils, a black man, invented the elevator, and without it, one finds great difficulty reaching higher floors.

3. There are few if any cars because Richard Spikes, a black man, invented the automatic gearshift, Joseph Gambol, also black, invented the Super Charge System for Internal Combustion Engines, and Garrett A. Morgan, a black man, invented the traffic signals.

4. Furthermore, one could not use the rapid transit system because its procurer was the electric trolley, which was invented by another black man, Albert R. Robinson.

5. Even if there were streets on which cars and a rapid transit system could operate, they were cluttered with paper because an African American, Charles Brooks, invented the street sweeper.

6. There were few if any newspapers, magazines and books because John Love invented the pencil sharpener, William Purveys invented the fountain pen, and Lee Barrage invented the Type Writing Machine and W. A. Love invented the

Advanced Printing Press. They were all, you guessed it, Black.

Anthony Everest

7. Even if Americans could write their letters, articles and books, they would not have been transported by mail because William Barry invented the Postmarking and Canceling Machine, William Purveys invented the Hand Stamp and Philip Downing invented the Letter Drop.

8. The lawns were brown and wilted because Joseph Smith invented the Lawn Sprinkler and John Burr the Lawn Mower.

Michael Mwenso

9. When they entered their homes, they found them to be poorly ventilated and poorly heated. You see, Frederick Jones invented the Air Conditioner and Alice Parker the Heating Furnace. Their homes were also dim. But of course, Lewis

Lattimer later invented the Electric Lamp, Michael Harvey invented the lantern, and Granville T. Woods invented the Automatic Cut off Switch. Their homes were also filthy because Thomas W. Steward invented the Mop and Lloyd P. Ray the Dust Pan.

Brooklyn Mack

10. Their children met them at the door – barefooted, shabby, motley and unkempt.  But what could one expect? Jan E. Matzelinger invented the Shoe Lasting Machine, Walter Sammons invented the Comb, Sarah Boone invented the Ironing Board, and George T. Samon invented the Clothes Dryer.

11. Finally, they were resigned to at least have dinner amidst all of this turmoil. But here again, the food had spoiled because another Black Man, John Standard invented the refrigerator…
Now, isn’t that something? What would this country be like without the contributions of Blacks, as African-Americans?

Martin Luther King, Jr. said, ‘by the time we leave for work, millions of Americans have depended on the inventions from the minds of Blacks.’

Black history includes more than just slavery, Frederick Douglass, Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, and Marcus Garvey & W.E.B. Dubois.

I was scouted at a Nollywood red carpet premier for a Nicholas Beveney’s (The Kings) movie by an obscure director from Ben TV. I actually nearly turned him down cuz the project he sold to me originally failed.

So, I was very sceptic and nearly pissed off, the director,  of this other documentary – he brought to me.
But Temi Obadina was so Godly and patient. He taught me patience with a ‘C.A.P.I.T.A.L – P’.

Thank you Temi for working with me. Onwards up. This is just the beginning of greatness. You deserve it. Amen

‘Racism’ – What Would You Do

What would you do? I was in Knightsbridge, last week, at the bar with 2 white musicians, colleagues – saying hello to them …

Then, a white waitress wanted to walk pass-through us. What does she do? She puts her hand on my shoulder and pushes me out of the way, without a word, or looking back – as she made her way through.

Now – Do I kick up a storm, complain or retaliate. The funny part is, it was like a dream, that I even asked the friends with me, – did she she just push me out of the way. They just stood their looking at each other – motionless.

I used the term friends loosely, politely – as they are more colleagues than friends. If – they were genuinely, my friends (as it’s transpired), they would have done something. So, they are the least of my concerns. I’m pretty sure their version will be ‘I saw nothing’, politely. I’m more concerned with how to defend myself, or confront this ugly issue in future, because it is going to happen again – to someone, somewhere, who is of an ethnic minority origin. Especially, when in an organisation run by non-ethnic minors. This really breaks my heart – for real!

Actually, it gets better – as she walked away, she left her hands on my shoulder – until she was out of reach. My instinctive, bewildered reaction was, asking the guys with me – ‘Did she just …’. Then, I said to them – ‘Rude – How Rude’, until it faded on my lips. Till now, I’m still baffled. Who put that sh*t in her head – in 2015. When we talk of institutional racism – bigotry is deep! …’ I would never do that to anyone, in spite of their race or gender ..’ My DNA won’t champion bigotry.

Desperately wanted to say something, at least to the manager – but I kid you not, it was, and is, still a part shock, suprise and day dream. So, I was torn between the 3. Like – Really! I recall, taking a good look at her a few times throughout the evening, almost wanting to burst out with the wrong things to say to her – even thou they felt so right at the time, but resisted. Would like to think, I know better than that – to be caught up. Mercy! Racism is easy. No is all we need to say. Happy New Year – Everyone!

‘Thanksgiving’ – When You Win

MercyfulGrace.com

It’s humbling to realize, I won in the same category that ‘Tiwa Savage’ was in – for Best Entertainment – GAB Awards 2014.

God is good (to me) and full of wonderful surprises. Little signs and wonders he gives (to me – to remind me), it will be okay. Gods time is the best :: The Lord Is My Shepherd, I shall not want – Amen :: Keep the faith folks.

Anything is possible if you believe and work harder, towards your goals in life. Have a good week ahead!. What God will do, is priceless and has no measure. Watch this space. He said in the bible. Avenge is mine ..’ Let me do it. Amen!

I stand corrected. Mercy – Humble me once more – and, all over again! Less, I fall, into the devils snare(s) – once more. As you have called, the chosen ones, the chosen ones, will be elevated, come what may.I believe.

That key belongs to me …’ No other person can unlock that door to my destiny – with it, cuz it was designed, exclusively, for me and only me! The rest is a waste of time – for anyone – thinking otherwise, attempted-ly.

Mercy – The Blood of Jesus. This status just got deep! I better start praying anew, and all over again. This is a question of faith.

I surely do believe.

RIP MANDELA – What A Great Man :: Indeed

For your true greatness – has enshrined the whole of humanity with a unique quality you’ve endowed us with. The power to forgive and move on with our lives without bitterness and regrets.

Today, on your untimely, departure – I FORGAVE someone who WRONGED ME, without cause, for A Long time, WHO gave everyone the IMPRESSION, they were my FRIEND!

My faith teaches & gives me great comforting – knowing, that, THE DEVIL IS A LIAR! They want us confused, dis empowered, and despondent – but oh no, we won’t.

image

We are warriors and victorious for his Name’s SAKE. Love PAID IT ALL. Let no wicked smiling demons – with ugly hidden hearts – lay claim on TO our (Souls), blessings, for their envy or pride – won’t do it either! Where :: Beauty fades just like the ugliness of a beautiful smile!

God Is Love, and, has us bound – in his promises – freed from the chains of Lucifers; deception and cunning agendas – night and day. I pray for forgiveness – that you let it go. Hallelujah!

RIP – Nelson Mandela. You truly taught us the POWER OF FORGIVENESS! Or why would we hold on to their wickedness. It doesn’t belong to us. It’s theirs and their issues.
